HUMANITARIAN & DISASTER PROGRAM
MA in Humanitarian & Disaster Leadership
at Wheaton College Graduate School
In my work with Humanitarian Disaster Institute, I see two things over and over again: disasters create a staggering amount of need, and many well-intentioned churches and Christian organizations are not prepared to meet those needs in the most effective ways.

The Humanitarian & Disaster Leadership program at Wheaton College Graduate School is designed to step into this gap by training students to lead churches, organizations, and communities in disaster and humanitarian relief that effectively addresses needs and demonstrates the love of Christ to the most vulnerable people across the globe. This program teaches students practical NGO management and leadership skills, evidence-based best practices for practical application on the field, and the theological foundation of relief and justice work as well as cultural issues essential to navigating field work around the globe. As disasters continue to rise in both number and scope, I am excited to offer the first Evangelical graduate program focused on training humanitarian and disaster professionals for leadership with a truly global perspective and interdisciplinary approach.
